- Avoid storing items directly on concrete — use pallets or shelving
- Cover upholstered items with breathable fabric, not plastic
Winterize Vehicles and Equipment
If you're storing a motorcycle, ATV, or lawn equipment:
- Change the oil and add fuel stabilizer
- Disconnect or maintain the battery
- Inflate tires to recommended pressure
- Cover with a breathable vehicle cover
